Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, can be reached by air through Paro International Airport. From Paro, it is approximately a one-hour drive to Thimphu. Flights to Paro of Bhutan are available from major cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, Bagdogra, Gaya, Guwahati in India, Dhaka in Bangladesh, Bangkok in Thailand, Kathmandu in Nepal, and Changi in Singapore.

- From Paro, Thimphu is a 1.5-hour scenic drive (55 km).

I just came back from Bhutan, booked through Thalia /Asia Odyssey for a 5 days’ trip to Bhutan. Went to Thimphu, Punakha and Paro.
The trip arrangement is perfect, hotel, meals, every logistics were being well taken cared. My 5 days itinerary arrangement is perfect! The trekking experience to Tiger nest is really worth! Punakha is also highly recommended, very nice valley, worth to stay for few days!
My local guide Tashi ( His nickname is Jerry, cause many people names Tashi in Bhutan ) and driver Nima are very friendly and professional.
It’s really an unforgettable and pleasant trip!
